At the end of March, we invited representatives of the Kazakhstan Football Federation, media, and bloggers to a breakfast with Supernovas.
Project Manager Anna Fedorchuk shared our progress and plans, and our manager in Kazakhstan, Toktar Eskendirov, described how we find coaches and help with training. We also explained to our guests that a coach not only teaches how to play soccer, but also helps children socialize and maintains a comfortable and safe training environment.
Our project is currently being launched in Egypt, Nigeria, Kenya, and Ghana, on top of the four free children's soccer sections we currently have in Kazakhstan proper. More than two hundred children are already learning to play soccer in the city of Altai and the villages of Zhanibek, Zerenda, and Ulytau.
Big plans for 2023: to open six more sections in Kazakhstan. We have already received applications from over 400 coaches and are moving on to selecting finalists. Chances are, Supernovas will soon be recruiting young players in your city or town! Stay tuned!
